Approved Power Services Welcomes Local Student Georgia Houghton for Work Experience Placement

We were delighted to welcome Georgia Houghton to the Approved Power Services office this week for a work experience placement. A year 10 student from a local Merseyside College, Georgia took the initiative to approach APS herself and asked if she could spend two days with us – and we’re very glad she did!

Over the course of the two days, Georgia spent time with colleagues from various departments including HR, Health & Safety, Training, Reception, Finance, and Estimating. Her schedule was full and varied, giving her a real insight into how the office operates and how different teams contribute to the business.

Reflecting on her time with us, Georgia said: 

“I’ve really enjoyed my two days at Approved Power Services – it’s been a great opportunity to see how the business works day to day in an office environment. Everyone has been really welcoming and supportive, and I’ve learned a lot about the different roles in the company. I particularly enjoyed learning about how Health & Safety and Environmental matters are dealt with within the company and also helping out organising and filing employees and subcontractor personnel files.”

“It’s been a pleasure having Georgia with us for work experience at the APS offices. She was friendly, polite, and approached every task with a positive attitude. A great impression made in just a couple of days – well done, Georgia.”
