Civils & Infrastructure

Since 2008, Global Power Services has delivered a range of civils and infrastructure services across sectors, including shot blasting excavation, cable drum handling (LOLER compliant), steelwork installations and civil & foundation installations. Indeed, the civils and infrastructure sector is poised for a period of exponential growth to support a series of vital national projects announced by the UK government. 

Principal of these schemes is a £15.6bn investment to enhance transport infrastructure in northern England and the Midlands, including new metro and mass transit systems across Birmingham, West Yorkshire, and Greater Manchester. A further £44.1bn has been allocated to Network Rail to renew core assets like tracks and associated structures and, through to 2030, major investment has been outlined by the government’s Road Investment Strategy 3 (2025–2030), and Water Sector Asset Management Period 8 (2025–2030), which proposes £96bn in spending to fund new reservoirs, upgrade pipes, and clean waterways.
