Renewable Energy
The UK government’s Clean Power 2030 Action Plan is expected to lead to an anticipated annual spend of £40bn per year until 2030 on upgrading national electricity infrastructure. As a trusted long term contractor to the energy sector, collaborating with all major network and renewable energy operators, Global Power Services will play a key role in the build out of vital renewable energy infrastructure that will facilitate the transition to a low-carbon future.
Already engaged on key projects - such as at the Cornwell/Harlesford 79mW Solar Farm in Oxford for client, Low Carbon - and by Siemens at Vanguard West and East, which consists of 2 x 1.4GW Offshore wind farms - Global Power Services has the capabilities (significantly enhanced when placed together alongside fellow group companies) to deliver a range of comprehensive end-to-end solutions - including high-voltage commissioning - for major renewable energy projects.

Long term growth in the sector will be driven by the UK government’s bold targets to double onshore wind capacity to 30 GW by 2030 with offshore wind capacity set to increase significantly, to reach 43–50 GW, in the same period. Further opportunities in the supply chain will be created by The Great British Energy Act 2025, which established a publicly-owned energy company to facilitate strategic long-term investment in energy infrastructure.
The focus on developing next-generation turbines, improving grid integration, and advancing floating offshore wind technology - which will enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate environmental impacts - will create further opportunities for which Global Power Services has the skills, experience and platform to deliver.
